Model Train Exhibit

At Justi Creek Railway

Co-Lighting Director: Tyler Ericson

ABOUT THE DESIGN

Originally built in Germany for LGB,  a model train company. The model is a large G-scale Train set, that now lives in California in private collection. It has 2 sides to it, one is an American themed scene representing the wild west's style of scenery and people. Whereas, the other is a European Alpine themed scene, with the alps in the back and typical alpine structures. Both models have model trains to fit their perspective theme.

This model's owner wanted to have the model lit as if it went through the cycle of 24 hours; starting at dawn, then to sunset and then through the night. They wanted the 24 hour period to look bright and super saturated. Much like the work of the painter, Maxfield Parrish.
